The NELS is targeted toward executives and professionals in health and aging services who typically have been in the field for under ten years and are identified as emerging leaders by others in their organization or company. The Summit aims to increase, improve, and support the profession to attract talented future leaders by giving a voice to the next generation of leaders. Individuals that have attended the Summit hold positions in skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, rehabilitation hospitals, home- and community-based services, and affiliated organizations across the country.

Summit participants will:

STRATEGIZE: Collaborate with other emerging leaders in the field and develop strategies on how to increase, improve, and support the value of the profession for leaders to attract talent.
ADVOCATE: Learn about the regulatory and legislative issues facing the profession and how to support innovative change through partnerships.
CONNECT: Network with key leaders of ACHCA, NAB, AHCA/NCAL, Argentum, LeadingAge, Vision Centre, Carriage Healthcare, and invited legislators.
INNOVATE: Attain knowledge on how to effectively lead your organization and the profession through shared learning experiences.

The Summit package* registration fee includes:

Daily breakfast provided
Chair's Welcome Reception social
NELS evening mixer (Monday) & Student evening mixer (Tuesday)
Two days with Summit leadership and participants
Approximately 11.25 NAB-approved continuing education units (CEs)
Cost: $500/participant*

NELS appreciates the many organizations who sponsor their administrators' registration and travel costs to attend.

Limited financial support funds are available. Approved applicants may receive the full or partial NELS registration cost based on need and the number of applications received. Participants receiving financial support to attend will need to pay individually/separately for their hotel and travel costs (e.g., airfare, parking), as appropriate, to attend the 2024 NELS.

* Participants will be individually responsible for securing hotel lodging with the host hotel at the conference rate.  Information on lodging and group rate will be provided upon application and acceptance to the NELS.
