March 8, 2022:

Dr. Kevin Hansen, FACHCA

The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), the nation’s only association dedicated to the professional development of the post-acute and aging services leader, mourns the loss of Dr. Kevin Hansen, Ph.D., FACHCA, who served as Academic Director on the ACHCA Board of Directors.
Dr. Hansen most recently served as Chair and Associate Professor of the Health Care Administration and Public Health program at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. Hansen has been a member of ACHCA since 2015, and advanced to Fellow status in 2018.
“Kevin was a force of nature when it came to our profession”, Bob Lane, ACHCA President/CEO said. “He had a palpable energy and his passion for equipping the next generation of post-acute leaders was unequaled. Our profession and those practicing within it, regardless of their level of experience, all owe him a debt of gratitude. He will be missed terribly”.
“ACHCA and the board of directors are deeply saddened by the news of Kevin’s passing”, said Theresa Sanderson, ACHCA Board Chairperson. “Kevin was so involved in many key projects, from our student poster session to the revitalization of our certification program. Filling these roles will be difficult, but we are challenged by the example Kevin set for us to boldly move forward, for the betterment of ACHCA and our profession. Continuing his legacy will be the most appropriate way to honor him”.
