Announcing Rescheduling of ACHCA’s Convocation 2020

With the rapid spread of COVID-19 we are reminded of how essential our Long-Term Care and Post-Acute settings are and the critical role members of our community play.

After engaging ACHCA leadership, staff, and members on the best path forward, we have decided not to convene in New Orleans in May 2020 for Convocation, We will be meeting in New Orleans for Convocation from August 30 to September 2, 2020.

We understand that many of you will have license renewal coming up this spring; therefore, our staff is busy working on webinars (live & on demand) that will provide you NAB approved CE.  Please stay tuned for more information regarding these educational offerings.

If you currently have a hotel reservation, you will need to call the hotel directly (504-584-3999) to cancel that reservation. Click here for information to book a new hotel reservation.

If you are currently registered for Convocation in May there is no need to register again. Your registration will transfer over to the new dates.

Those registered for the May Convocation event have multiple options:

  • Apply paid registration fees towards Convocation to be held later this year. (August 30-September 2)
  • Apply paid registration fees towards another learning opportunity from ACHCA (Convocation 2021)
  • Receive the NAB approved CE educational offerings in Spring 2020.

At this time we are not processing refund requests for the rescheduled Convocation.  If you are currently registered for Convocation in May there is no need to register again for the 2020 event later this year. Your registration will transfer over to the new dates.  If you are unable to attend Convocation 2020 later this year, your registration fees may be transferred to Convocation 2021 which will be in Baltimore in April 2021.

We are expanding our selection of NAB approved online CEU offerings which are free to members, you may access these to obtain the required CEUs to renew your license.  Most states are offering extensions on renewals due to the COVID-19 situation.
