Webinar Title: CMS Guideline Change Update

Webinar Description: This webinar will provide updates to CMS regulations on chemical restraints and the use of psychotropic medications in long term care facilities. Strategies to reduce the use of chemical restraints including appropriate use of medications, gradual dose reduction and elimination of unnecessary use of medications will be discussed. We will also talk about individualized approach to behavioral health care and medical director responsibilities.

Speaker Name:Jeremy Ashley, PharmD

Speaker Bio: Jeremy Ashley is currently serving as an LTC Medical Science Liaison for Acadia Pharmaceuticals, a role he has held for nearly three years. He brings extensive experience as a consultant pharmacist in the East Texas area and has a strong background in academia, having taught pharmacy practice management, Texas Pharmacy Law, and led an APPE rotation in long-term care pharmacy at the University of Texas at Tyler College of Pharmacy. Jeremy’s expertise in both clinical and educational settings makes him a valuable contributor to advancing patient care in the long-term care setting.
